Embossers / Seals |
Embossers, more commonly known as seals, (notary and corporate) come
in hand held and desk models. They crimp paper leaving a permanent
impression embedded in the document. Notaries use them as do
Corporations on official documents. You also see them in gold foil on
Diploma's, in the fly leafs of books to prove ownership, and even on
party and wedding invitations. The older models used two metal plates
which had to be mechanically engraved. Newer models use a "Delrin" (hard
plastic) insert that is laser engraved. This makes a lighter, less
expensive product with the same life span.
